バックアップ用に、2GB以上のPSTファイルを2つ、同期対象フォルダ（MagicBriefcaseでは無い）に置いておいたのだけど、全然アップロードされない。
それなのに、SugarSync Managerで確認すると、「全ファイル同期済み」となっている。
SugarSync Manager経由でWebArchiveに手動でアップロードすると、あっという間にアップロード完了した。
（アップロード速度の制限される無料アカウントでは無く、有料アカウントだからでしょう。）
サポートに確認したところ、「PSTファイルは同期対象外」なのだそうだ。
Unfortunately, we do not support syncing .pst files because the way in which they are maintained makes it difficult for our software to access and update them.
最近OutlookからThunderbirdに乗り換えたので、PSTファイルのバックアップはWebArchiveへアップロードして完了。
Thunderbirdデータのバックアップは、MozBackupで同期対象のフォルダへ定期的に手動でバックアップ、で当面は大丈夫でしょう。

今まで無期限に保存していたドキュメントの過去バージョンを、30日に制限するそうな。あとはiPhoneアプリ作成中だったり、LAN環境での同期性能を良くしたり。

これだけ見ると、SugarSync優勢で、Dropbox劣勢っぽいけど、何事も一社寡占になると価格が高くなったり、サービスが悪くなったりするので、どちらにもがんばって欲しい。
ちなみに、SugarSyncの紹介プログラムで、「10GBボーナス」をゲットするためには、「紹介されて最初にアカウント作成するときに、有料アカウント作成しないと」ダメらしい。
せっかく有料プランにアップグレードしたのに。。。

最初に有料アカウントを作成すると、最初は250MBもらえて、、、
とあるけど、この数字って、プロモ期間のものではないよね。。。

せめて、「最初は無料アカウントだったけど、キャンペーン期間中にアップグレードした人」も含めて欲しい。
現在利用している有料のWeb系サービスを、まとめてみた。
ドメイン：800円 / 年くらい？キャンペーン中に複数年延長したので、結構安かったと思う。Value Domain。かなりお勧め。
ホスティング：5000円 / 年でcoreserverを契約。15GBだし、自由度が高いので、xreaから移動した。不具合が発生したらサーバを無料で移動できる。その代わりサポートは今ひとつ。さくらインターネットの月額500円のプランの方が良いかもしれない。
flickr：２５ドル / 年でproアカウント。41ドルだった時にも、有料会員になったほど。楽しいので年間25ドルは全然OK。お勧め。
Yahoo：ヤフオクで必要なので、300円くらい / 月を払ってる。出品に必要なので、しょうがない。年に数回は出品する。
SugarSync：5ドル / 月のプランに変更したばかり。無料会員は、アップロードの速度が制限されているので。

あれ、これくらいかな？
CARBONITEなどのバックアップサービスも、ちょっと惹かれるけど、容量が大きくなってくると、手元でバックアップ／リストアした方が早くて確実と思われるので、使ってないなあ。

ちょっと前までは無料版が無く、専用のアプリも一見すると分かりにくかったSugarSync。
のだけど、最近資金調達して（Sharpcast、低評価ラウンドながらファイル同期サービスで$10Mを調達）、Dropbox対抗なのか、無料プランもできて、容量も増やしてきた模様。

このページに触発されて、アカウントを作って、使ってみたのだけど、Dropboxのように、「設定したフォルダ以下を無条件で同期」だけじゃなくて、「特定のPCの特定フォルダだけバックアップ」のような設定も可能。
iPhone / iPod touch用の無料アプリもある。
Dropbox の有料プランは10ドル / 月からだけど、SugarSyncは5ドル / 月からなので、有料プランも検討して、この5ドルのプランに入った。
最初の３０日は無料。
ひと月５００円くらいだったら、ありかなあと。
